Why GME really rocks!
The Accor Global Meeting Exchange 2019 brought together 280 participants, who worked hard and played hard for three amazing days in late March. Incredibly, more than 3,000 one-to-one business sessions were held over two days, uniting 130 travel professionals with hoteliers, region representatives, sponsors and partners.
GME has a strong educational bias, with global experts hosting seminars and workshops on the very latest trends and economic forecasts.
Of course, it wasn’t all work. Fun breaks and networking activities were organised, and all attendees participated in a creative music session facilitated by Songdivision at the world renowned Montreux Music & Convention Centre. This session proved to be a massive hit with everyone!
Daily Surveys inform future events
Throughout the event, you will have been prompted to complete several surveys. If you have not already done so, we would be really grateful if you could complete both the relevant daily surveys and the final feedback for us so that we can continue to develop and evaluate the event through your comments.
If you no longer have the App installed on your mobile device, please click on this link and enter your details when prompted. Please click on the icon “Daily Surveys”.
Download the Speakers Presentation now
Please note that our speaker presentations are all added on the App. To locate, please go to the “Presentations” icon and click on the appropriate session to review and download!
Silent and Live Auctions a huge success
Our GME silent auction is now over and winners will be contacted in the next few days. Thanks to your donations, we are proud to announce that we have raised €6,256 for the two charities – HOPE and UNIBES - we were supporting at the occasion of the GME 2019. Donations will be match funded by Accor Solidarity and donated to the charity you have selected.
In addition, a big thank you to Jeff Canham from Prestige Global Meeting Source, who bid €4,400 during our live auction during the Gala Dinner. The money will be matched by Accor Global Sales and donated to EVAM, the local Montreux charity that provides a home for local asylum seekers aged between 12-17 years and enable them to buy bicycles and scooters in particular, to enable them to get around more easily in the hilly areas surrounding their home.
